The Intermediate Scene Study class meets at the Complex Theater in Hollywood from noon until 3:00 P.M. Wednesdays. Class is for intermediate actors and covers scene study, cold reading, audition technique and character development. Light improvisation is included in warm up activities. Class is conducted the same as our Master Classes, but at the intermediate level.
First week covers audition technique. Students receive their scenes a night or two before class and are expected to prepare their scene as though it is a real audition. Week two covers cold reading and material is given to students at the beginning of class. Students are given a short amount of time to prepare and make character choices. The following two weeks students continue to work on their cold reading scene and are expected to be off book by the third week. Actors work on character development and scene study during week three. The final week is the final run with final notes and direction.
The Intermediate Class is taught by Jaime Gallagher with Will teaching once a month. Cost of class is $175 per month. Tuition does not fluctuate on the number of weeks due to holidays or extra weeks in a five week month. Make up classes are available upon request if a student misses a class.
